Department of Chemistry is established in the year 2009. It offers undergraduate course (B.Sc.). Over the years, the department has been nurtured with dedication and strenuous hard work of the teachers and cooperative support staff. The department offers everything an undergraduate student is looking forward to in a college viz. Curricular, Co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Department has well equipped laboratories with adequate facilities and instruments required for practical’s and research. The teachers interact closely with students and are always ready to guide them. Students are given opportunities to try new experiments as a part of their regular project work. They are also encouraged to undergo summer training projects/workshops in the college and various scientific institutes.
  • Department has organized a national level conference Frontiers in Chemical Sciences” (FCS) on 23 December 2017.
  • Department has organized a state level "Power Point Presentation competition" for UG students on 20 February 2017.

“Harmful effect of alcoholism on human health in society”
A soil testing laboratory is started as extension activity. Students collect soil samples from nearby village and from their own farm and test them in the laboratories.

Chemical of the week – This activity is started by department to make student aware about the chemicals which they are using in the laboratory. In this activity a chemical name is given to students and information about it is collected by them and then they submit it to department. The information collected from student is then displayed on blog.

Magical Chemistry - A magical chemistry event is organized for student to demonstrate some chemical reactions which looks like magic.
